This major golf tournament has positioned Limpopo Province as one of most sought after destinations for golf enthusiasts. Limpopo Championship ultimately contributes to regional economic growth which benefits the community and contribute towards tourism sector and golf industry transformation.

The tournament strives to make a meaningful difference beyond the fairways and thus far has successfully managed and implemented a range of programmes.

We have introduced both Youth delvelopement programs and Caddy workshops that strive to not only develop the community but also encourge the development of golf within the area.

2019 and 2020 - JC Richie

The South African won his maiden Challenge Tour title on home soil at the Limpopo Championship – the first event on the 2020 Road to Mallorca. Although it was the first time the event had been co-sanctioned by the Challenge Tour, it represented a successful title defence for Ritchie, who triumphed in the same event in the previous year on the Sunshine Tour.

2021 – Brandon Stone

Won his third European Tour title in style courtesy of a stunning final round of 60 – where he narrowly missed a putt for a 59 – at Gullane to clinch the 2018 Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open, a Rolex Series event.

2022 – Mateusz Gradecki

Poland’s Mateusz Gradecki became the first international winner of the Limpopo Championship when he won by three strokes at the Euphoria Golf and Lifestyle Estate on Sunday. Gradecki finished on 19 under par overall to break the South African hold on this tournament since it first teed off in 2019.

2023 – Ryan van Velzen

Ryan van Velzen claimed his maiden victory on the Sunshine Tour in a dramatic final round of the Limpopo Championship at the Euphoria Golf and Lifestyle Estate on Sunday.

At the end of a difficult week of weather delays which forced the tournament to be reduced to 54 holes, the 21-year-old Van Velzen signed for a final round of 68 to win by a single stroke on 12 under par.
